Outline Itinerary
Day 01. Arrive Paro.
Upon arrival at Paro , you will be received by our office representative. Drive to Thimphu (the capital) which takes about 2 hours, distance 60 kms. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 02. THIMPHU.
After breakfast visit the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in memory of The Third King of Bhutan His Late Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Then visit the Handicrafts Emporium. After lunch visit the Painting School where three arts namely painting, carving and free hand arts are taught. Then visit the National Library. Towards late afternoon visit the Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in the Kingdom, built in 1627-29. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 03 THIMPHU - PUNAKHA. 74 kms, 3 hours.
Today, you will be driven to Punakha across Dochula pass ( 3187 Meters/10200 ft) from where one can see the northern Himalayan ranges if the weather permits. Punakha was once the old Capital of Bhutan till 1955 and is still the winter residence for the Je-khenpo (chief abbot) and the Monastic body. Punakha Dzong is the 2nd oldest Dzong built in 1937 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Dinner and overnight in Punakha.

Day 04 PUNAKHA - PARO. 120 kms ( 4 ½ Hours)
After early breakfast drive to Paro for sightseeing. Visit DrukGyal, now in ruins recalls the day when Bhutan was frequently and unsuccessfully, attacked by armies from the north. Built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to commemorate an early military victory, the Dzong's name means indeed "Victorious Druk". Then visit Kyichu lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred monasteries dating from the introduction of Buddhism in the eight century. ( visit inside is not possible).Then visit the Ta-Dzong, an ancient watch tower which has been, since 1967, the National Museum of Bhutan's. O/NT Paro.

Day 05 Paro- Delhi /Kathmanu/Bangkok/ Rangun
After early breakfast, drive to the airport for your onward departure.
