This is an excellent choice for those with a tight
schedule, four days trek exploring chain of mountains
which separates two district, Paro Valley and Thimpu
Valley or vice versa. This is classic walk along high
windy ridges, past ruined forts which long ago guarded
against Tibetan invasion. Although the route is sparsely
inhabited of wonderful blue water lakes teeming the
Fish and it is famous for its spectacular rhododendron
forest which bloom in the Spring and makes the entire
area lust and colorful. The mountain views can be
seen from October to April.

Outline Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive in Paro
You will be welcome by our office representative and
transfer to Hotel, Rest of time at leisure and self
explore.
Day 02 : Paro Sighseeing
.Morning trip to Ta Dzong
or National Museum. Rated among the best natural history
museums in Asia, the Ta Dzong offers a unique and
varied collections ranging from ancient armour to
textiles and thangkha paintings. Then walk down the
trail to visit Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) built during
the time of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646. It
now houses the Paro monastic school and office of
the civil administration. Also Rinpung Dzong is venue
of Paro Tshechu, held once a year in spring. Afternoon
drive upvalley to the Drukgyel Dzong or the Fort of
Drukpa victory. From this fortress Bhutanese repelled
several invasions by Tibetans throughout the course
of history. Looming above the smouldered ruins is
the snowcapped peak of Mount. Chomolhari. Also visit
traditional Bhutanese Farm House nestled below the
dzong. Then drive towards Paro town enroute visiting
Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest monastery of the
Kingdom reflecting introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan.
Day 03 : Trek
Paro to Jangchulakha alt 3200, 16 kms, 7hrs O/n Camp.
Today after Breakfast, we drive to Starting Point
of Trek, commence trek along dense Rhododendron Forest,
Spur and Pine forest all the way ascending, on the
way we meet small villages with Locals with their
cattle and pasturing.
Day 04 : Trek Jangchulakha to Simkota alt, 3800
meters, 17kms, 7-8 hrs trek, O/n Camp. After Breakfast,
Trek commence along Rhododendron Forest, Spur and
Pine forest, today we walk along open track, because
of number of trees are less and short. We can see
better view of Mountain. On the way up we meet small
villages with Locals with their yaks, sheep and domestic
animals pasturing.
Day 05 : Trek Simkota to Phajoding alt 3200m,
dis 12 kms, 4-5 hrs, Camp.
Beautiful walk, along the forest of different Species,
Trail gradually descend to the Thimpu valley, over
night will be at Phajding near by small settlements
offering good views of Mountain and to the Thimpu
Valley.
Day 06 : Trek, Phajoding to Thimpu 9 kms,
3-4 hrs, O/n Hotel.
Trail slowly descends to the capital city of Bhutan,
over looking good views city, villages after arriving
Thimpu, check in Hotel and rest of time at Leisure.
Day 07 : In Thimpu, O/n Hotel.O/n Hotel.
We visit to the Painting School - where free hand
arts namely carving and painting are taught. Visit
Simtokha Dzong - one of the oldest Dzong in the Kingdom
is the centre for Buddhist education. Visit the Handicrafts
Emporium where you can buy souvenirs of all kinds.
Visit the National Memorial Chorten - a stupa dedicated
to the memory of The Late King.
Day 08 : Drive to Wangdiphodrang via Punakaha,
O/n at Wangdi Resort.
Day 09 : Drive to Paro, 5 hrs O/n Hotel.
Day 10 : Transfer to Airport for Final departure
and Namaste & Thashidhele

WHAT TO BRING
Personal Clothing: Practical and comfortable
clothes are appropriate (according to season). Preferably
cotton for summer. Woolen clothing for the evenings
and winter
For Trekking: Warm sleeping bag, strong comfortable
trekking boots, several pairs of socks and vests,
warm clothing (especially a down jacket for higher
altitudes) for the evenings, rain coat or umbrella,
torch (flashlight), water flask, a hat or head scarf,
sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, disinfectant tablets
for water, insect repellent, antibiotic ointment and
antihistamine cream for insect bites (summer).
Recommendations : The trek is relatively strenuous
and demands top physical form. A physical fitness
check-up is a must. Even the experienced trekker should
prepare for 2 to 3 months prior
