Trek Route & access/highlight:
Drive Kathmandu to Dhunche, trek via Syabru Village-
Langtang Village-Kanjin Gompa, Climb Tserkori( 4984m),
Ganja La Pass, Tarke Gyang- drive Melamche -Kathmandu.
The region north of Katmandu offers
a multitude of Trekking destination, all accessible
without flights. There main region are Langtang Valley,
Gosikunda Lake and Helambu Circuit that can be combined
in many different ways to make treks from seven to
sixteen days long. Langtang is a narrow valley that
lies just below the main Himalayan range to the north
Tibet Border and a slightly lower range snowy peak
to the south. A visit to the Langtang valley offers
an opportunity to explore Tibetan villages, Tamang
Villages, to climb small peaks and to visit glaciers
at a comfortably low elevation. According to legend
A Lama following a runaway Yak discovered the valley.
Hence the name is Lang is Tibetan for yak and Tank
means to fellow. Still thousand of Yaks lives in the
valley. Kanjin Gompa is a last Tibetan Village in
the valley, from where a track starts to Kathmandu
over Ganja La Pass (5106M). The pass it self not easy,
during autumn and spring pass opens for trekkers.
A trek Over Ganjala pass offers entirely wilderness
and adventure experience. If you are trekking during
spring the forest on the trail is colorful of blooming
Rhododendrons views from Ganjala Pass is Majestic
to the main Himalaya outstanding the views of Mt.
Shisha Pangma (80013m), Langtang Lirung (7200m) in
Tibet. Trail between Kanjingompa to Tarke gyang is
very isolated, remote and wilderness In Langtang Region,
Naya Kanga is an attractive peak rising to the west
of the Ganja La pass (5,122m/16,800ft) .Ascending
to Ganja La and the summit of Naya Kanga offer the
spectacular panoramic views of mountains in Nepal
and Tibet including Langshisa Ri (6,370m/20,894ft),
Pemthang Ri (6,836m/22,422ft), Shisapangma (8,046m/27,749ft),
Langtang Lirung (7,425m/24,354ft), Pemthang Kapro
Ri (6,830m/22,402ft) and Langtang II (6,571m/21,553ft).
The normal route of ascent to Naya Kanga is via the
north - east ridge over a line on ice and snow. We
follow the route of Langtang trek to Kyangjin (3,749m/12,297ft)
for the ascent of Naya Kanga. Northeast of Kyangjin
Ri (4,700m/15,416ft), there are two peaks; Yala Peak
(5,500m/18,040ft) and Tsergo Peak (5,749m/18,857ft)
that provide good climbing for acclimatization.
Outline Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu Airport, Our office
representative awaiting you in front of arrival lounge
showing yours name Card, transfer to Hotel, we offer
complimentary dinner at Hotel 7-8 pm, meet other participants
to discuss about trip, Hotel B&B.
Day 02 : after BF, Explore Culture
tour in Kathmandu, that is includes Boudhanath Stupa
perhaps biggest in world's, Monastery, Pashupatinath
Temple, Hindu's holiest temple and Patan Durbar Square
and Swoyambu nath Stupa situated on hillock of Kathmandu
from entire Kathmandu Visible and amazing Stupa with
its beautiful arts. Hotel B&B.
Day 03 : Drive, Kathmandu to
Dhunche, Camp. Drive offers beautiful views of Himalayas,
small isolated villages, River gorges, water falls,
dense forest, rice terraced field and where peoples
are working, plough. Camp.
Day 04 : Trek, Dhunche to Syabru
Gaun( 2100m/6hrs)-Camp. Today we trek through peaceful
trail, offers good views of Himalaya, Small Tamang
Villages, Once it was busy when road connected to
Syabru Bensi, trekkers did not use this trail any
more. Starting from Dhunche would help for acclimatization
instead getting quickly to Langtang.
Day 05 : Trek Syabrugaun to Lama
Hotel(2380m/5-6hrs)-Camp. Trail descend along the
ridge then drop to the river valley through terraced
field and forest, then trail ascend gradually through
river valley, offering views of waterfall, dense forest
to Lama Hotel.
Day 06 : Trek to Langtang Village
(3500m/6-7hrs)-Camp.
Trail ascend through the boiling narrow River Valley,
Today we can see some Langur (monkey), Deer and various
species of bird. From Gore table valley widen, mountain
are visible, Yaks grazing. Day 06: Trek, Langtang
to Kanjin Gompa (3800m/3hrs)-Camp.
Easy couple of hrs trek, enjoying good views of Mountain.
We reach Kanjin for Lunch,after lunch we will climb
Kanjin Ri 4300m.
Day 07 : Acclimatizatin, we will
climb to Tserkori to see the outstanding views of
surrounding peaks.
Day 08 : We will go to Langshisha
Glacier to the north east on the Tibetan Frontier
and return to Kanjin.
Day 09 : Trek, Kanjin Gompa to
Ngegang (4000m/3hrs)-Camp. After crossing the wide
river valley, trail steeply ascend to Ngegang known
as Ganja La Base Camp. We camp on the meadow. To get
general ideas about pass, see the picture.
Day 10 : Trek to Base Camp Ganja
La Pass 5106m,Gyanjala pass is flanked by pinnacles
mountaineers call gendarmes and toped by prayer flags
and large cairn of Rock. West of pass is outstanding
trekking peak Naya Kanga 5846 m opened by Nepal Mountaineering
association, this trip can be combined climbing Naya
Kanga too.
Day 11: An spare days for acclimatization
and preparation fix rope
Gyanja -La Pass & Climb Crossing the Langtang
Khola below Kyangjin, we climb steeply along the ridge
through a forest of rhododendron and juniper. We continue
following the trail to Ganja La climbing steeply through
moraine . We leave Ganja La trail to climb steeply
up yet more moraine to reach the eastern end of the
glacier shelf beneath the north-east face of Naya
Kanga. We cross the glacier shelf to the foot of a
shallow couloirs heading to the north ridge. We climb
the couloir to the notch and the base of the ridge.
Now the ridge widens and leads to a small col. on
the east-west summit ridge and the summit is only
30m higher to the right. The climb near the summit
should be done carefully. Normally, the ascent takes
5-7 hours from the high camp.
Day 12 : summit the peak and
return Base Camp
If you do not wish to go over wilderness valley, can
be return to Kanjingompa and follow same way back
to Kathmandu takes four days.
Day 13 : Trek to to Keldang (4270m/8-9hrs)-Camp
Descent from Pass is steep and dangerous as it follows
loose scree slope for about two hundred meters. Descent
from Pass is like most mountain descent seems more
treacherous than ascent. no matter which direction
you cross the pass. After the initial steep drop,
trail descends gradually in a huge basin surrounded
by glaciated peaks. The trail steep descends through
the basin along an indistinct trail to a Yangri Khola
/ stream and drop quickly down. We walks for two hrs
then we reach at Keldang 4270 where we camp.If you
would like to Climb Naya Kanga we place high Camp
at pass, next day summit it and trek to Keldang. Require
two additional days.
Day 14 : Trek Keldang to Dukpu
(4080m/8hrs)-Camping. Today is long day walking along
ridge ,grassland, very silent, amazing views of Mountains
many ups and down.
Day 15 : Dukpu to Tarke Gyang
(2560m/6-7hrs)-Camping. Trail descends about 200mtrs,
climb the 4100m pass. Views from Pass are spectacular
to the Annapurna Region and Mt. Everest region too.

forest past tiny herders settlement to Tarke Gyang
Day 16 : Trek Tarke Gyang to
kiul(1200m/6-7hrs)-Camp.
Day 17 : Trek Kiul to Pati Bhanjyang(1770m-5-6hrs)-Camp.
Day 18 : Trek Sundarijal over chisapani Pass,
drive Kathmandu.Hotel BB.
Day 19 : Free day for self activities, Hotel
B&B.
Day 20 : Transfer to Airpo
