This is a moderate trip for travelers on
a limited time & budget. The breathtaking trans-Himalayan
flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa & overland
from Lhasa to Shigatse offer truly spectacular views
of the Himalayas, high mountain passes, ancient monasteries,
Buddhist culture and activities. The trip is
scheduled fly in and drive out or V.V. Our group generally
tends to be smaller & we make every effort, under
the circumstances, to provide quality services at very
reasonable prices. Our tour itinerary is better designed
& additionally includes visits to Shalu Monastery,
Sakya Monastery & Milarepa Caves which most other
operators skip.
Outline Itinerary
Day 01 : Fly to Gongar Airport, drive to Tsedang alt
3500 M/dis 97 kms/ 2 hrs
Arrive Gongar Airport. Transfer to Tsedang along the in
Yarlung Valley. Check in to Tsedang Hotel.
Day 02 : Explore Tsedang and its surround
O/N Hotel. After Breakfast, drive to
after returned we visit tombs of Tibetan King's located
in the choynge country, includes tombs from 29th to 40
th Tsenpo, and their minister and imperial and concubines
In the afternoon; we visit YAMBHU Laganag Temple, TRADUK
temple and other ancient Monasteries.
Day 03 : Tsedang- Gyantse (4040 M),
350 kms, 7hrs drives O/n Hotel. Drive to Gyantse via Gongar
enjoying Tibetan features on the way, en route visit Lake
Yamdroktso which can be seen from Kanbala Pass at 4794
Mtrs. The turquoise water of this coiling Scorpion -shaded
lake is one of the four holy Lakes in Tibet, and an important
destination for pilgrimage. Far in distance is the large
snow -capped Mt. Naquin Kangsar 7191 m, continue drive
to Karola Pass 5050 M and check the Hotel.
Day 04 : Gyantse to Shigatse 3600
M/90 Kms / 2hrs drive O/n Hotel. After B/F visit Pacho
Monastery, drive to Shigatse via Shalu Monastery check
in Hotel, and visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, Shigatse free
market. shigatse is Tibet's second largest city
Day 05 : Shigatse -Lhasa 365 kms/7-8hrs
O/n Hotel. After B/F take a quick visit to Tashilhunpo
Monastery, drive to Lhasa along northern Highway.
Day 06 & 07 : IN LHASA : Sight
seeing Tours in Lhasa sites are Potala
Palace,Barkhor Bazar,Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery ,Norbhulinka
Temple,Tibetan Medicine Center.
Day 08 : An early morning transfer to
Airport to fly Kathmandu, Chengdu, Kunming or Beijing.
